Dish Network has tapped Joseph P. Clayton as prexy and CEO.He replaces Charles W. Ergen, who will remain as chairman of the company.Clayton previously served as chairman of Sirius Satellite Radio from November 2004 through July 2008, and served as CEO of Sirius from November 2001 through November 2004. Prior to joining Sirius, Clayton served as prexy of Global Crossing North America, as prexy and CEO of Frontier Corp., and as exec VP of marketing and sales for the Americas and Asia of Thomson."Joe brings an enormous amount of executive-level experience in the satellite and consumer electronics industries, including positions at RCA, General Electric and Thomson, and we look forward to his leadership as we continue to deliver video entertainment into the future," Ergen said.Clayton will join the board of directors. His appointment is effective June 20.
