Fans of the SkyDrive are going to be delighted at this piece of news: Microsoft has announced a whole slew of upgrades to its cloud-based storage service. SkyDrive will be getting a revamped user interface and will take advantage of HTML5 and hardware acceleration, making navigating and sorting your files much faster and more efficient.
Other features include: support for the HTML5 video tag (playback H.264 videos up to 100MB in size), Pin SkyDrive to your taskbar (for IE9/Windows 7 users), all the SkyDrive groups in one place ? browsing your files is more like using Windows Explorer now and ads have been removed to create an information pane. Photos are now nicer to view on SkyDrive, the whole UI has been updated with a Metro-inspired, clean, mosaic layout with infinite scrolling to make browsing photos a pleasure.
