This position serves as key part in enabling the success of the HR Generalist team in terms of being a primary support partner. This role will utilize project management skills and knowledge of Best Buy and the specific business groups they are aligned with to ensure project and solutions are completed on time, within the budgetary guidelines, meet quality standards and customer expectations.
The Generalist Senior Analyst closely partners with Generalist Leadership, Business Leaders and team members to understand the needs of the business and effectively provide support to meet those needs. The person in this role must be able to prioritize projects, be flexible/adapt to changing needs of the team/initiatives, and build effective relationships and networks within the team and throughout the function/organization.
This position is responsible for:
Program Deployment
-Deploy and execute annual Human Resources Programs for assigned Business Lines
-Develops Business Line specific communications, tools and project plans in partnership with Human Resources Director
-Informs and teaches assigned Business Human Resources teams about the processes, tools and milestones; aids in process support for deployed programs
-Partners with Human Resources Business Partners (Generalists)/Human Resources Directors to ensure completion of all programs timely and efficiently
-Provides a recap/summary of program for the HR Business Partner/HRD and Business Line, as appropriate or agreed upon with team lead
-Provides feedback during and after each HR program to ensure continuous improvement
-Review/update Talent Mapping in partnership with Analyst on a quarterly basis unless otherwise agreed upon with team lead
? Partners with Center of Excellence, Employee Services and other applicable partners to assist in the creation and build of solutions to meet our Business' Human Capital and Talent needs
Data and Reporting
-Partners/collaborates with Human Resources Analyst, Workforce Administration team and Human Resources Business Partners (Generalists) to ensure accurate reporting and data capture, ensuring data integrity
-Partners with Human Resources Analyst and Finance partners to ensure accuracy, alignment and shared understanding of headcount and budgeting data
-Provides/coordinates the analysis of data to be used to inform and educate Human Resources Business Partners (Generalists) and Human Resources Directors on the impact that talent and human capital decisions could have on budget
? Partners with Human Resources Business Partners (Generalists) and the Best Buy HR Support Center on escalations. Assists requiring research and resolution as well as partners to determine root cause and implement continuous process improvement activities thereafter
Business Line Support
-Manages and coordinates projects within the Business Line outside of annual Human Resources programs that align with Enterprise Objectives and drive Human Capital and Talent strategies
? Responds to requests for assistance to resolve Human Resources needs/inquires related to Human Resources policies and procedures
-Assists with scenario building and strategic planning related to talent and human capital planning with Business Leaders in partnership with others as appropriate
-Partners with Human Resources Directors to create/revise the Human Capital Plan for each business line and to develop a strategy for accomplishing
-Conduct detailed salary analysis to ensure accuracy and present recommendation to Human Resources Business Partner (Generalist) and Business Leader for discussion
Human Resources Partnerships
-Directs and coaches others to the appropriate venue to get issues resolved
? Responds to basic Human Resources inquires related to Human Resources policies and procedures
-Partners with Center of Excellence , Employee Services and other business partners to develop solutions for issues or improvements with Human Resources Programs
? Acts as a steward of the total employee experience alongside Human Resources Business Partner (Generalist)
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma/Equivalent
- 2 or more years Human Resources experience
- 2 or more years project management experience; assisting in deploying, managing time lines, and documenting outcomes
- 2 or more years Advanced in Microsoft Excel
- 4 or more years Technically proficient in MS Office 2 years proven ability to partner with all levels of individuals; organizational agility, comfort level, professionalism
- 2 or more years HRIS experience
- Data Analysis experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Human Resources or related field 4 years Oracle and Oracle Discoverer
- Process Improvement/SOP experience
- 3 or more years retail or corporate experience
