Wolves in The Night (Song-fic 23-30) Feedback Welcomed*

OOC: I imagine this song being about being mad at someone but coming back to them anyway. \
?Well good-bye then!? Blair spat at the she-wolf across from him.
?Oh my world is ending!? Gypsy taunted Blair like what he was doing had no effect on her, but in reality she her insides were collapsing and her throat was choking making her breath come in short rasps. How could this happen, how could he do this to her?
?Oh, I?ll make sure that it is.? Blair growled menacingly at her, his shoulder fur standing on end but his feet remained planted on the ground; he wasn?t going to advance on her. Gypsy?s eyes grew cold, and she became limp, barely keeping herself up; just barely.
?Gypsy, Don?t- I just said what I meant, why can?t you just accept who I am?!? Blair spat.
?Because who you are is unacceptable!?

It had been four long, cold days since Gypsy?s fight with Blair and she wasn?t faring well. Hunting in the snowy, barren forest proved hard for her; her bright, fiery, orange coat stood out from everywhere and made her clearly visible to everyone and everything. Mostly she sat in the sandy lakeshore and caught fish, well more splash in the water and rob the young bears. Every second she regretted of her fight with Blair.

Finally, one day she found him.
The forest was dull and lifeless in the dead of winter, something had wiped out all the animals except for the few wolves that struggled to keep their grip on their life. No birds chirped and dirty, grey snow crunched under Gypsy?s heavy paws. Trees were dead and lifeless, so any sign of life, any sound meant that someone was close to her.
Crunch, Crunch, Crunch! Gypsy walked on down her usual path to the lake, oblivious to the sound of a second pair of paws following her.

Blair hid behind the dying bushes as he watched the weak she-wolf go by. He was going to attack her for being on his territory but Blair saw how weak she was. Probably won?t last long? Blair thought. She was a scrawny she-wolf with what looked like soaked, muddy fur. Evidently not worth his time.
The white wolf continued up a high, rocky slope that led to the top of the small mountain in the middle. It was a tough climb for most and very strenuous for Blair. He might be very fit but the thin air made every action hard. A wave of jealousy ruffled his fur as he thought of how Gypsy seemed to thrive off of dangerously thin air. Maybe that wasn?t jealousy?maybe it was something else, no. He would not think like that.
Blair kept on climbing higher up to the summit and pushing himself on. Perhaps he was going a little fast to be accustomed to the altitude but he didn?t care. He just had to get to the top.
To his surprised when he finally reached the top he saw the silhouette of a second wolf overlooking the view.

The leafless, dead tress seemed to expand for miles across the snowy landscapes. Gypsy had to wonder, what happened? This was once the most beautiful place in the world; but now it was all gone, crushed, and dead. She was the only thing that would never change. She would never shift her ways no matter what.
A rustling across from her snapped her out of her thoughts as she saw a white wolf emerge from the bushes. When she saw his black snout she knew who he was. ?Blair.? Gypsy said calmly, turning back to her view.
?How are you faring?? Blair calmly asked her.
?I?m perfect, just perfect.? Gypsy turned to walk away and as she left the clearing she could hear the soft crunching of snow. Blair was following her, to keep her safe. She knew that even though they hated each other they still wished no harm to the other. So Gypsy took no notice of him.

That night Gypsy went down to the lakeshore and saw a ship pulled up near her usual wading spot. Curious, she waded into the chilly water that seemed to soak her bones and took a few steps towards the floating mass. Suddenly her ears and head snapped up as she smelled meat Real, cooked, smoked meat. Gypsy crouched low and then with a strenuous jump she hauled herself up and followed the smell to a lower floor. She didn?t notice anything but the juicy steak on the counter. It was huge and there were tons of pieces layed on top od eachother and steadily dripping sweet, tangy juice that trickled down to the bottom. Hungrily she wolfed down each piece, savouring the juicy morsels that warmed her mouth, her whole body. After she had finished Gypsy left the room and went back to the top where a surprise awaited her. A large metal box was slammed on top of her and Gypsy blindly slammed her body against it and tried to moved around.
?HELP! HELP!? She called desperately, her voice strained with fear. Deep inside, she knew no one could rescue her.

Blair ran as fast as his long legs would carry him to the ship in which Gypsy disappeared in, where he heard the screech of fear. His heart beat fast, but that wasn?t because of running, it was his fear that his mate was hurt. Maybe they had left, but wolves were mated once for life. In one great bound Blair landed on the stone-hard, cold deck and raced to where they were carrying a large, silver box. Before he could get in the door was slammed in his face and left him dazed and confused. Blair scratched and pawed at the door but it never opened.
Finally he was exhausted and he lay against the door; resting, but fully awake. Acciedently he slipped into sleep.
When Blair awoke he shot up only to bump his head on a cold metal surface.
?Gypsy?? He said into the cold, unfamiliar air.
?I?m here.? She replied back. Blair felt a surge of happiness that his mate was there with him; but it dissolved when he realized there was a wall seperating them. So close yet so far.
?Don?t worry! I?ll get to you!? He said and thrust his body-weight against the divide.
?We?re safe, it?s okay here.? Gypsy whispered, obviously content. But he didn?t believe her, if there were partitions then it [iwasn?t safe [/i]. Blair would never be subtle without Gypsy.
Suddenly a petite slot opened and a massive slab of smoking mutton was thrown in, accidently knocking Blair in the head. Hungrily he gulped down the meat without a second thought and then cleaned the ground of any spilled juice.
?See? Good food.? Gypsy called over.
?Maybe?? Blair replied as he licked himself clean.

Gypsy lay in her little compartment, it was much bigger than Blair?s, she could tell from his sounds. She had room to pace around and a comfy nest in the back. When Gypsy was caught in the metal box she had gotten seeral cuts and bruises but the humans cleaned them and bandaged her up, seemingly sorry they had hurt her. However this life made her at ease she yearned for the wild?and Blair. They may have hated eachother, but they were still in love. Love is never ignored.
A moon had passed and Gypsy was released into a lovely green forest?but something was missing. Blair. She looked for months before she caught his scent, she followed it until it led her to a cave with many passages.Gypsy followed it untilshe lost the trail when she ran into two male wolves. Strong, fit, and ready to defend their territory
